The primary objective of the Tribe Sports App campaign was to generate awareness and increase app downloads and usage.

The key target audience for this sports app release was sports fans who would continue using the app beyond the initial launch buzz. For this reason sports personalities were among those selected for the campaign. An awesome way to generate organic engagement and virality was a giveaway competition. By simply downloading the app and posting a screenshot in the comments, the lucky winner would receive a limited edition All Blacks jersey. Sounds like a “try” if you ask me!

RESULTS

Cost per acquisition

The app launch campaign worked very effectively for Tribe. The number of app downloads resulted in a cost per acquisition of just $0.36! With the industry average at $18.68, this was a phenomenal outcome.
