SEEKING: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The Role

The Social Club is seeking an experienced and passionate Business Development Manager, to enter the company in our current high-paced, growth phase.

Skills required:

  • 2+ years experience in Sales, Account Management or Business Development
  • Agency, marketing or tech background is ideal but not required
  • Strong & professional communication is essential
  • Driven, creative, passionate and deadline focused
  • Adaptable and ability to wear multiple hats per day while we are in massive growth stage
  • Passionate about working in a startup environment
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Ability to handle stress and high pressure which can come for working in a start up environment
  • Most importantly we need someone who believes in our vision and has an internal drive to sell leading innovative technology to our key clients

The day to day current:

  • Bringing new sales and marketing automation processes into the company
  • Bring in new business by contacting & meeting decision makers within agencies and brands.
  • Generating leads through calling, email automation, calling, digital advertising and other lead generation activites.
  • Setting up meetings with agencies and brands to present Social Club platform and educate them on influencer marketing
  • Develop and execute sales strategy to achieve organisational sales goals and revenues
  • Establish, maintaining and expanding customer base
  • Cultivating effective business relationships with executive decision makers
  • Focus on market penetration and new client acquisitions
  • Report to Head of Sales and CEO
  • Development of sales presentations and client proposals
  • Hitting (and where possible, exceeding) personal monthly targets as well as assisting the team in hitting monthly team targets.

The day to day future:

  • As one of our early employees, you will train new team members as they join the team and bring them in on the vision of the company
  • As the team grows, we hope you will become a Senior member of the Social Club, responsible for managing a team of up to 20 Sales & Success Managers (onshore or offshore) and a core driver for the company’s success
  • Your role will become less focused on your own personal targets and more focused on the team targets
  • You will be responsible for directly managing the Sales & Success team and reporting on results

With 3,500 influencers & 350 brands registered, the platform is now established and filling a clear gap in the New Zealand market.

The Social Club is a full-service automated platform, which manages all aspects of influencer marketing campaigns -including identification, engagement, communication, reporting & payments.
